The Android OS has come quite a way from its launch on the HTC Dream. Lately, we have seen plans for  Android tablets, Android gaming phones and now Android PMP’s. Archos, a French consumer electronics maker, are producing an Android powered PMP called the Archos 28 Minidroid which they have submitted it to the FCC.

According to the pictures they included in the FCC application, it’s around 10x8cm’s with touch screen that is around 3 inches big. It also has WiFi capabilities, 3.5mm headphone jack and a mini USB port for USB connectivity. That is about all we know at the moment. We hope to see more of these devices popping up to compete with the iPod’s market dominance.
