Optus to hold midnight launch of iPhone 4

By on

Whilst we are still patiently awaiting official pricing and/or the chance to pre-order our shiny new iPhone 4, we are at least more enthused to hear that Optus will this year spare its customers from the hours waiting in line and braving the cold as were the scenes for the iPhone 3G launch.

According to The Next Web, Optus flagship stores in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth will be opening their doors for a 12:01 am launch on the 30th of July, meaning you could potentially still get a few solid hours of sleep (or more realistically iPhone 4 play time) before work later that morning.  Hopefully the other major telcos will want to join in on the action and hold similar midnight events, so keep your ears out for any announcements in the next few days to coincide with the imminent release of iPhone 4 pricing details.
