New Zealand is set to become Middle Earth again as the next movie, and the prequel to the Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit is set to be in production soon; and now, fanboys of the series can actually become extras in the film. Applicants need to send their applications via the old snail mail with a casting video, headshot and a full body shot; and have to be legally allowed to work in New Zealand.
Also, according to Collider, locals will be considered first – so if you happen to be there in New Zealand reading this blog post, go get yourself a tax number. You will also need to be there for the entire shoot, which presumably means that you are going to stay there for a long, long time.
Though, if you happen to a total Lord of the Rings fanboy, you might as well try your luck in becoming an extra.
