RUMOUR MILL: Stop the presses! Is the Apple Tablet really coming!? Well, according to rumours, Apple is set to demo a working 7-inch and a 10-inch tablet running iPhone applications in January. Don’t get your hopes up just yet, however, as the tablet will not likely go on sale on that date, but sometime later to give more time to developers to build apps to work on both the iPhone/iPod touch and the new tablet.

According to Silicon Valley Insider, Apple has been telling a select few app developers to build some applications for the demo, with the source being quoted, saying that “[Apple has] told select developers that as long as they build their apps to support full screen resolution – rather than a fixed 320×480 — their apps should run just fine.”

Boy Genius, however, is reporting that there is going to be an 100 percent chance of an 7-inch Apple tablet, but a 10-inch model is still up in the air.

As well, the guys over at AppleInsider report that a Wall Street Analyst gives a 50-50 chance on a tablet being announced, though he does say there is a 75 percent of Apple hosting an event in January. The analyst, Gene Munster from Piper Jaffray, has also claimed that it would add 2 percent in more revenue according to its calculations – take note, however, because he also says that the “tablet is not currently in our model”, so that figure could be wrong.

Yes, the title sounds like a bulls**t title, but hey, it’s Christmas Eve. What do you expect, we’re in Holiday mode.
