Nokia E72 comes to Australia on Optus, VHA

Nokia has announced that it will be launching the successor to the E71, the Nokia E72, to Australia. The phone still has the body of the E71, but includes a 2.4-inch QVGA display, a 5 megapixel camera (up from a 3.2 megapixel camera), an optical navigational key, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and supports microSD cards.The phone has also been upgraded to support faster 3G connections, and includes the new version of QuickOffice.

The phone also has an FM radio and a media player, A-GPS navigation via Ovi Maps and Push E-mail via Nokia Messaging; and has a talk time of 12.5 hours. Connectivity-wise, it supports Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP, WiFi 802.11 b/g and has a USB slot to sync with your PC.

The phone has a RRP of AU$719. Optus and VHA (owners of both Vodafone and 3) are planned to carry the phone; with 3 starting to sell it already.
