Optus has picked up the mobile rights to broadcast the games after signing a deal with the Seven Network, the ones who own the free-to-air rights, to stream their coverage to some Optus customers; bringing back some exclusivity to the content on its mobile site, Optus Zoo.

While 3G customers can get it for free, pre-paid customers will be charged a 22c flagfall for every session they access it. However, iPhone users will not be able to access the live stream. You can access the coverage from the Optus Zoo portal or by sending a SMS message with “TENNIS” to 966, or “iTENNIS” to 966 if you are on the iPhone.

Optus Zoo previously had an exclusive and expensive agreement with ninemsn, but opted in March last year to offer a range of non-exclusive content; including news, entertainment, search and social networking services like Facebook and MySpace.
