EA’s Red Alert 3 has a problem, its missing the last character of the 20 character CD key for the game. But have no fear, EA has a solution – try brute force. No, we aren’t kidding. Basically, the last digit is an alphanumeric character – meaning that its either A-Z or 0-9, giving you 36 characters to choose from.
"There is currently a work-around that may allow you to bypass this issue. Since you have the first 19 characters of the code already, you can basically try guessing the last character," according to EA’s customer support site. "To do this, simply enter your existing code, and then for the last character, try the letters A-Z, and then the numbers 0-9. You should eventually get the right combination, and be able to play the game."
The page, however, has been changed to tell you that you should contact them and not use brute force – but hey, welcome to the world of hacking.
