Yahoo shareholders have rejected a plan to adopt a policy, and setting up a human rights committee that would review it’s policies around the world, were defeated. Yahoo has been criticized by human rights groups over turning over e-mails that didn’t agree with China’s policies and laws. Only 15% said yes to the censorship polic, but 4% approved the human rights committee.

However, Yahoo insists that it had to operate under local laws of where they operate.

After a few hours of it’s release on Windows; vulnerabilities have been found in the code, with denial-of-service attacks and two issues that would allow an remote execution of a script. I’m not that surprised, since it’s a beta; but it comes from Apple…

Meanwhile, Webware has this interesting ‘rant’ about why Mac apps on Windows suck… A very interesting read, but oh so true…

Yes, ScoreScripts (Owned by Stewart, part of the reawakennetworks) and Brandon have taken up doing the Kubix Script after the original developer has decided to drop it. So, if you love to help them, just join them at their site. I, however, won’t be helping because I’m currently tied up doing the relaunch of the pointzero site, a community based site where you (Yes You!) put the content up!; and the new reawaken site. Plus, I have no idea about PHP; I know a bit of CSS though…

As well, you can see a live demo. We will keep you updated about Kubix here when we get information about it from them, the developers.

Computer experts have unveiled a digital reproduction of Ancient Rome as it appeared in it’s peak of power at 320AD. This $2 million project was used to do scientific calculations, such as determining the crowd capacity of the ancient buildings.

The project took 10 years to finish, with an international team of archaeologists, architects and computer experts from the University of Virginia and UCLA, with researchers based in Italy, Germany and the UK.

The Webware 100 voting is closed. Apparently, according to Rafe Needleman; 487,000 votes were counted, most in Community. Basically, teenage girls did most of the voting… DAMN YOU MYSPACE GAIA ONLINE!!!! Wait, WTF? What the hell is Gaia Online?

Yes, it’s true. Apple has announced that Safari will be on Windows, and it’s really up there on the Apple Site. Too bad it’s only a beta; so expect crashes, memory hogs, and the dreaded Blue Screen of Death!!!!

Otherwise, you Apple geeks just have one more thing to push your way into the world of Windows. By the way, doesn’t Safari look ugly?

Adobe has finally released the beta version of Apollo, which is now called Adobe Integrated Runtime. This means the product name is Adobe AIR; using Adobe twice but whose counting…

As well, this now fully supports HTML and AJAX; meaning applications don’t need to be created in Flash. An extension for Dreamweaver will be released. The site is here

Japan will recieve this limited edition Pikachu Nintendo DS Lite. However, more interesting, is the fact that you will have to come to the store in person and submit your name in a lottery.

This DS is basically covered in Yellow, and will have a small Pikachu (or is that a Pichu) on the corner of the DS. The expected price is ¥16,800, or US$139.

The Washington Post has a news piece saying that Google’s Priracy practises are the worst among the world. This comes from a report released London-based Piracy International, whom assigned Google with the lowest grade. Interesting, 22 other companies surveyed; including Microsoft, Yahoo! and AOL, didn’t sink to that level.

However, this latest report comes when Google is in trouble, with an European panel is investigating on Google’s piracy practises meeting with E.U laws. As well, the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) is looking at their proposal of purchasing Double Click.
